For the Dog Lovers - Fun Dog Collars
November 16th, 2007
Hey y’all! This one’s for all of you who include your dogs in your gift giving adventures. The company is Hip Hound Couture and they have designed a really fun dog collar with the Chinese symbol for dog. They come in Pink/Black, Blue/Orange and Olive/Wine and come in sizes small to extra large. They cost $22 through their website and are made from soft, durable, easy to clean polyester webbing. They use a special process to embed the design into the webbing fibers to ensure that the colors do not fade and the design does not “wear off”. If I could get my cat, Cinamon, to wear a collar I would get her the pink and black one (we just wouldn’t tell her that it has the Chinese symbol for dog on it). So, check out their site if you want your dog to have something different than every other dog out there. Happy shopping!

Sweet and Sexy T-Shirts for Men & Women and Cute Onesies & Toddler Tees
November 14th, 2007
Hey! This company, PervArtistry, has really unleashed their imagination in designing these t-shirts and onesies. Here’s a sample of the women’s tees: Love Muffin, Eye Candy, Hot Chick and Foxy and the tees don’t just have these words written on them; they have drawn pictures to represent the words. For example, Love Muffin has a heart and a muffin, Eye Candy has an eye and a piece of candy - you get the idea.
Check out the pictures below to see how creative these tees are and make sure you check out their fun site for more designs. The onesies and toddler tees say Love Muffin, Chick Magnet and Hot Chick. The men’s tees say Stud Muffin, Yes Deer and Boy Toy. They have boxers and underwear, too, with similar messages. These are only a sampling of the messages on their items; so, make sure to visit the site to see the full selection. Happy shopping and hope you enjoy!

A Book that Reminds Us that the Path We Take With Our Lives Really is Our Choice!
November 13th, 2007
Hey there! Here’s another that’s not on my want list ’cause I already own this one. “Your Life, Your Choice” is a down to earth very well written book by Bobby J. Bryant. I had the pleasure to have coffee with this handsome and genuinely happy man a couple of months ago and was reminded that I am amazing, beautiful, special and that I have a sound sense of myself and I am not being selfish (although at times it may appear that way to family and friends). I don’t believe enough people receive that message from the person whom they need to hear it from the most - THEMSELVES!
Bobby shares personal details of his life’s journey in this book which is sure to help you or a loved one on the path to self-empowerment and how to make better choices. The book can be purchased through the website (click here) for $19.95. If you are in the local Reno area, Bobby is available to speak at events anywhere his message is needed. This book would be a perfect gift for anyone who is not experiencing life as it was meant to be lived - Being Happy (or just needs reminded of this)! It has been my experience that Bobby is very happy to include a personal message from himself in the front cover of the book; so, make sure to ask if it’s possible (time allowing) for him to do that. Happy Reading!!

Tired of the Same Ole Wine Glass Charms?
November 12th, 2007
Hey there y’all! Want a cool way to mark the wine glasses at your next get together? This lady has really unleashed her imagination and designed just such a way! Her company is called Betsybaloo and this one is on my want list. They come in packages of 2 wine bottle labels and 24 wine glass decals and cost $16.20 through the Ladies Who Launch Ebay store. I couldn’t find them sold anywhere else; so, this link will take you to the Ebay listing. The labels and decals are removable, non-adhesive static cling material. They adhere to any bottle, jar, canister, vase, aluminum, plastic and chrome. They come in several different themes: Girls Night Out with fun quotes like “steal a kiss”, “laugh out loud” and “shake your booty” and Designer Style with leopard, zebra and polka dot prints. You could just get the wine bottle labels with Congratulations, Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday and personalize your wine or liquor gift. They go over the bottles paper label and won’t harm it. These would make great gifts for all sorts of occasions - birthdays, house warming, engagement, wedding, anniversaries and whatever else you can think! Happy shopping!

New Way to Buy a Car
November 12th, 2007
Hey y’all! This one’s for anyone out there who’s looking to buy themselves or a loved one a new car for Christmas or for any other occasion. How many of us would like to have a root canal rather than go to the car lots (auto row) and have a blast having the salesman show us some really nice cars that ARE NOT what we want?? Then, if we do find something that’s close enough and we’re so tired by that point that we decide we’ll just buy the darn thing so we can get it over with; we still have to sit there and haggle with the salesman while he goes back and forth talking to the manager while you sit there just wanting to get the whole ordeal over with!! Then when you finally get out the door 5 hours later you leave paying more than you wanted and with a car that’s ALMOST what you wanted!
Well, there’s a better way to do this. Had I known about these 2 men who’ve unleashed their imagination and made the car buying experience FUN; I would have went to them in 2005 when I bought my car. I ended up paying more than I wanted and got ALMOST what I wanted! When it’s time for me to do it again; I am definitely going to see these guys. They are Eric and Steve at Sterling Motors and they are very much the complete opposite of having to deal with the traditional car salesman! I met and learned about these two at a local business mixer. They are located in Reno; but you don’t have to live near here to use them to buy your next car. They can deliver the car to you wherever you live! Sterling Motor’s program is designed for the person who values their time and doesn’t want to go through the above scenario at a traditional car dealership and they can save you money, too. Eric and Steve specialize in pre-owned late model vehicles. All you have to do is place your order with them. Let them know the year you want, the color, the amount of miles and whatever other features you would like. I think it’s worth a shot to try out their program. Have fun and happy shopping!

Children’s Picture Book Teaches How To Create Happiness - The Secret of the Wizard’s Wand
November 8th, 2007
Hey there! This one’s not on my want list ’cause I already bought it!! The Secret of the Wizard’s Wand is a powerful moving book written by Terry Lowey, a marriage and family therapist in Reno, Nevada. I had the honor and pleasure to have tea with Terry a few weeks ago. I believe she has hit the nail smack dab on the head with the theory of this book. I strive almost daily to remind myself of the message contained in this book; so, it is refreshing to see the message written at a child’s level with such beautiful, captivating and colorful illustrations.
The following is from the website: “Mastering both mind and heart from the earliest of ages will maximize positive experiences and life potentials. Developed with the knowledge from thousands of hours spent working with children and parents, The Secret of the Wizard’s Wand is a fundamental lesson for emotional health and a guide to happiness. The child learns to shift his mood by gently shifting his thoughts.” The book also includes valuable information for parents and stimulating questions to ask your child. The cost is $18.95 and can be purchased through the website.
Terry will actually be visiting my daughter’s 1st grade class some time in January 2008 to read the book to them and have a discussion time about it. The teachers and I are very excited about that! If you are in the local Reno area, Terry is available to speak at events for parents, teachers and guardians. This book would be a perfect gift for any child or parent and especially a child in your life who is not experiencing life as we all should - Being Happy!

Motivational/Inspirational Jewelry in Gold, Silver & Platinum
November 7th, 2007
Hey! I’m having a ball y’all! Here’s another one that’s on this unleashed gal’s want list! The designer and creator of this awesome jewelry is Payson Cooper. She has necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, money clips and other special items. She also will custom design an item for you. Some of the engraved messages are “I Have a Millionaire Mind”, Expect Miracles, Gratitude, Courage-Love-Faith-Trust, Live With Passion and So Be It.
You have got to go check out her site - Payson Jewelry. I like the Gratitude and So Be It. I would also like one that says So What and Never Mind the Nay Sayers and I could go on and on. I could spend a lot of money on Payson’s jewelry (and one day I will)! I don’t know about you; but, I need reminded of these things sometimes and actually wearing them on my body in the form of gold, silver or platinum seems much more appealing than wearing a post it note around on my arm or neck! Let’s get shopping!!

FAA Approved Safety Restraint System for Young Children - Alternative to lugging that big ole car seat on the airplane
November 7th, 2007
Hey y’all! Okay - for those of you who have young children, how many of you (me included) like to lug those gosh darn big car seats onto the airplane? I know I always dreaded having to squeeze down that narrow path with 1 or 2 kids in tow (or carrying one at that) plus all the junk you have to take to entertain them with AND the lovely car seat. And then there’s the fun of installing the thing once you’ve already started sweatin’ like a pig and you have the whole rest of the airplane wanting to get by you and your big mess!
Well, about a year ago I came across the ONLY FAA approved restraint system for young children weighing 22-44 pounds. You better believe I jumped on buying that sucker! It costs $74.95 and it is very much worth every penny! I have used it twice with my son. I was flying alone with the kids and it was such a relief to not have to worry about how I was going to carry them, all of our stuff AND a car seat onto the airplane. The company is called CARES\’aa - Kid’s Fly Safe and you can click here to visit the website. Cares weighs 1 pound and fits inside of a 6 inch stuff sack. The devise was invented by a grandmother of nine, Louise Stoll, after watching her pregnant daughter struggle off an airplane with a baby, car seat and diaper bag. What an imaginative creative lady!!! I am so grateful she tackled this issue! Oh, and if you need your car seat at the other end of your trip - just check it through as luggage.
