What’s the Size of a Thimble, Can Be Melted, is Pungent and has a Lingering Flavor?
December 23rd, 2007
Hey there! Cheese of course! Here’s one for the cheese lovers; which definitely includes me! We’re not talking about any plain ole cheese off the shelf from your local grocer. These thimble sized artisanal cheeses are hand made by Shy Brothers Farm from their third-generation dairy farm in Westport, Massachusetts. The brothers have named them Hannahbells after their mom. The Santo’s brothers, all in their 40’s, are two sets of fraternal twins and they love working on their farm.
Hannahbells can be used as appetizers, toasted in mushroom caps or pizza, rolled in nuts and used in salads - unleash your imagination and get creative with these little farmstead cheeses. If you’re not local to Westport, you can purchase the Hannahbells from their website and you can also read more about the shy brothers and the process they use for their cheeses. You could take some of these little cuties to your next party or housewarming along with the Nevada Trivia game I featured earlier or any of the board games from SmartsCo featured earlier. Happy Cheese Eating!
