The Takeout Tin Gets a Porcelain Makeover
Published January 3rd, 2008 in Kitchens Unleashed, Proceeds DonatedHey y’all! These have got to be the coolest kitchen ware items I have come across. This Brooklyn-based designer, Lorena Barrezueta, has really unleashed her imagination to create these beauties. Think pie crust tin, chicken potpie circular and rectangular sushi plate. She is using the same molds as the tin versions; but instead of tin she crafts them entirely by hand with fine porcelain. She calls them the Gourmet Collection and their are 3 color lines: Classic, Fresh & Lush.
A portion of 2007 proceeds from the Gourmet Collection will be going to support Disabled American Veterans. These would be great as a housewarming gift taken along with some of the Hannabell cheese and one of the vintage-inspired aprons written about earlier. Happy Kitchen Ware Buying!
